TrafficStars Review

Quick answer: TrafficStars is a self-serve advertising platform and adult ad network with traffic from 240 GEOs.

Advertisers buy popunder, video, native, banner, push and interstitial placements on CPM, CPC or CPA. Deposits start at $100.

New for 2026, every account ships with Gryzo AI, an assistant that can build campaigns, blacklist spots and send scheduled reports.

Dude Score

We buy a lot of paid traffic. Pops, push, video, all of it.

TrafficStars has been on our shortlist of affiliate marketing traffic sources for a long time, mostly for dating and iGaming runs.

So when an AI agent landed inside our dashboard, we had to put it through real campaigns with real money.

Below is everything we learned. Formats, bids, Optimizer rules, Gryzo, tracking, payouts and the stuff that annoyed us.

What Is TrafficStars Ad Network?

TrafficStars is an advertising network and ad exchange with 15+ years in the game.

Two sides share one platform. Advertisers buy impressions. Publishers sell them.

Inventory leans heavily toward adult tube sites, streaming, gaming and entertainment. Mainstream offers run here too, as long as creatives follow the guidelines.

Everything sits behind a real-time bidding auction ranked by eCPM. CPM, CPC and CPA bids all compete in one pool.

Who Should Buy Adult and Mainstream Traffic Here, and Who Should Not

TrafficStars isn't for every offer. We learned that fast.

Verticals that worked best for us were the ones that match an adult entertainment crowd.

Good fit

  • Dating traffic and webcam offers, especially on Tabs and popunder
  • iGaming traffic, casino traffic and betting in LATAM and Asia
  • AI companion apps, which love carrier targeting for mobile billing
  • Nutra, sweepstakes and VPN or utility offers with broad appeal
  • Media buyers who like hands on bid control at spot level

Poor fit

  • Brands that need strictly family safe placements
  • Offers aimed at older audiences (only 15% of users are 45+)
  • Anyone with under $100 to spare, since a single CPA test needs $50 to $100 alone
  • Advertisers who refuse to set up an ad tracker or postback

TrafficStars Ad Formats That Perform for Affiliates

Seven core formats sit inside the campaign builder. Some print money. Some need patience.

FormatHow It ShowsPricingOur Take
PopunderOpens behind the main window or in a side tab on first clickCPM, dCPM, CPAOur volume king for dating and sweeps
VideoPre-Roll, IM Slider, Vertical Shorts, OutstreamCPM, CPCGreat CTR on tube sites, needs strong creatives
NativeWidget with image, brand and headlineCPMV, CPCCheap reach, best for warm up and retargeting
Banner300×250, 728×90, 900×250, 300×100 and moreCPM, CPCSteady, works on spot whitelists
PushClassic Push and In-Page PushCPC, CPMIn-Page Push gives us full iOS reach
InterstitialFull screen between pages, closable instantlyCPMVSolid for app installs
TabsLands users on a new tabCPCVerified clicks for dating and cams

Popunder benchmarks run around $0.76 eCPM on average across the network. Video sits closer to $0.26, and native around $0.008.

By GEO, US traffic averages near $1.05 eCPM, Germany $0.85 and India $0.45.

Those numbers helped us set realistic opening bids instead of guessing.

Traffic Types and Inventory Sources Explained

Before bidding, TrafficStars asks which audience pool to buy. Pick carefully. This choice cannot be changed after saving.

  • RON covers all spots on the network. Highest volume, widest quality range.
  • PRIME covers premium spots only. Pricier, cleaner, better for Tier 1.
  • Members Area targets logged in, registered users. Small pool, strong intent.

A second switch picks the source.

  • Direct Inventory means one domain and its mirrors
  • Partner Networks means sites under one registered partner domain

We always start new offers on Direct Inventory. Data comes back cleaner and faster.

Bigger budgets can also ask for Flat Deals and Exclusive Placements, which are fixed rate premium spots in regions like LATAM and Asia.

TrafficStars Bidding Models and Auction Control

Five pricing options exist. Each one suits a different stage of a campaign.

ModelPay ForWhen We Use It
CPM1,000 impressionsFirst tests, most stable delivery
dCPMImpressions, auto bid up to a capWinning spots where we want more share
CPCEach clickBanners, push and Tabs
CPAEach conversionProven offers with working postbacks
CPMV1,000 viewable impressionsNative and interstitial

Budget delivery has two speeds. ASAP spends fast. EVEN spreads spend across the day.

For cpm advertising on fresh offers, we run EVEN so one morning spike doesn't eat the whole budget.

How the CPA Learning Period Works

CPA on TrafficStars is not instant. A learning phase comes first.

  • Campaign bids the recommended rate on each zone (one spot and one GEO)
  • Impressions and conversions both cost money during this period
  • After learning, billing switches to conversions only
  • Bids then convert to eCPM per zone, based on 7 day eCPA

Minimum test budget is $50. For Tier 1 and Tier 2 GEOs, plan more than $100.

Two gotchas hurt us early. Adding a country restarts the test. Any zone under 30 impressions in 7 days stops the campaign.

Targeting Depth and Campaign Control

Targeting here goes further than most mobile ad networks we use.

  • GEO with presets like Tier 1 and DACH
  • Language, device, OS version and browser
  • Mobile carriers and cable or WiFi providers
  • Device brand, model, price range and release date
  • Specific IP addresses
  • Keywords matched to page tags
  • Non proxy traffic only, a filter we tick on every campaign

Device price targeting is a sleeper hit. We cut low end Androids from a nutra offer and our CR jumped noticeably.

Zone Level Whitelists, Blacklists and Dayparting

Control lives in three layers.

  • Category lists: Whitelist or blacklist content tags. A whitelist ignores new tags, so review it often.
  • Site and spot lists: Add a spot blacklist or build a tight zone whitelist from winners.
  • Scheduling: Set time zone, start and end dates, active days and hours.

Dayparting presets made our life easy. We run dating offers heavier from evening to 2 AM local time.

Frequency capping sits at the creative level, so each banner or video can have its own cap.

Retargeting Pixels and Optimizer Rules

Retargeting ads work through a small pixel placed on landing pages. Audiences are called User Collections.

  • Manual collections come from the pixel on your pages
  • Automatic collections grab everyone who clicks your ads
  • Exclude mode hides ads from people already in a list
  • Up to 5 custom parameters allow event logic, like “added to cart but no purchase”

Let a pixel collect for at least 30 days before judging results.

Optimizer is where TrafficStars really earns its keep. Build rule groups by spot, site, creative, country, OS, browser, device, carrier or language.

Rules inside a group use AND logic. Two actions are available.

  • Block stops traffic from a losing source
  • Auto bidding raises or lowers bids by a percentage based on eCPA

Our go to rule blocks any spot that spends 3x our target CPA with zero leads.

Expect a delay. Data collection takes about 20 minutes, and the block hits rotators roughly 10 minutes later.

Gryzo AI Assistant and the TrafficStars MCP Connector

Gryzo is the big story for 2026. It's an LLM assistant baked into every TrafficStars account at no extra cost.

Type in plain English. Gryzo answers with data, plans or real changes.

For advertisers, Gryzo handles campaign drafts, bids, spot filters, Optimizer rules and postback setup. For publishers, it builds sites, ad spots and earnings reports.

Through the MCP connector, Claude or ChatGPT can talk to a TrafficStars account directly. Anything the API exposes is fair game, from stats to creatives.

We pipe a daily spend summary into Slack this way. Setup lives at mcp.trafficstars.com.

Chat Mode Against Agent Mode

FeatureChat ModeAgent Mode
Read stats and explain resultsYesYes

Create or edit campaignsNoYes, after confirmation
Blacklist spots and change bidsNoYes, after confirmation
Best forAudits and learningDaily optimization

A toggle next to the input field switches modes. Agent mode previews every change and waits for a yes.

Prompts we actually use every week.

  • “Blacklist spots with more than $5 spent and 0 conversions.”
  • “Clone campaign [ID] but switch GEO to Brazil and set a $40 daily budget.”
  • “Replace the old offer URL across all active campaigns. Show affected campaigns first.”

Pro tip. Name the object, period, metric, action and limit in one prompt. Add “show me before applying” every time.

Scheduled Reports and Bulk Campaign Changes

Scheduled reports changed our mornings. Describe a report, choose daily, weekly or manual, and Gryzo builds a dashboard with charts and a written summary.

Each report brings two kinds of advice.

  • Actions like raising a bid, pausing a loser or cloning a winner. Nothing happens until we press Apply.
  • Advisory notes that flag issues needing a human decision

Bulk changes across dozens of campaigns now take one prompt instead of an hour of clicking.

Conversion Tracking, Postback URL and TrafficStars API

Conversion tracking runs on S2S postback. Inside the Goals and Postbacks tab, pick a tracker and hit Generate.

The postback URL uses a few key tokens.

  • {click_id} is mandatory. Without it, no conversions show.
  • {value} passes revenue for ROI reports
  • {price} passes cost on CPA campaigns
  • {lead_code} tracks post conversion events like deposits
  • allow_duplicates=1 counts repeat conversions

Ready made guides exist for Voluum, Binom, Keitaro, RedTrack, BeMob, PeerClick, ThriveTracker, AdsBridge and CPV Lab Pro.

Conversions can also flow straight from CPA networks like iMonetizeIt and LosPollos.

For coders, the TrafficStars API uses an API key generated on the profile page. Endpoints cover campaign creation, reports and more at docs.trafficstars.com.

TrafficStars Minimum Deposit, Pricing and Payment Methods

Opening an account is free. Spending starts once money lands.

Deposit MethodMinimum
Credit card$100
Paxum$100
Capitalist$100
Crypto (via Coingate)$100
Wire transfer$500

The TrafficStars minimum deposit covers about 10 days of one campaign at the $10 daily floor.

Realistically, we fund $300 to $500 for a proper first test across two or three GEOs.

How to Launch Your First TrafficStars Campaign (Step by Step)

We set up dozens of campaigns this year. Our exact routine sits below.

  • Step 1. Register and Fund the Account

Sign up as an advertiser and verify email. Add at least $100 through cards, e-wallets or crypto.

  • Step 2. Set Up Postback Before Anything Else

Open Goals and Postbacks. Generate a postback URL for your tracker and paste it into the tracker settings.

  • Step 3. Pick a Format and Name the Campaign

Click Create campaign. Choose popunder for the easiest first run. Use a clear name like “POP_US_iOS_Dating”.

  • Step 4. Choose Categories and Schedule

Blacklist content tags that clash with the offer. Set the time zone and active hours.

  • Step 5. Lock In Targeting

Choose GEO, device, OS and browser. Tick non proxy traffic. Keep one device type per campaign for clean bid control.

  • Step 6. Select Traffic Type and Source

Pick RON, PRIME or Members Area. Start with Direct Inventory.

  • Step 7. Attach an Optimizer

Link a blocking rule so losing spots die automatically.

  • Step 8. Set Bid, Budget and Pacing

Pick CPM, use the suggested bid as a floor, and set a daily budget. EVEN pacing is safer for a first run.

  • Step 9. Upload Creatives and Tracking Link

Add creatives, set a frequency cap and paste the offer link with {click_id}.

  • Step 10. Publish and Watch Moderation

Hit publish. Approval took around 10 minutes for us on weekdays. Weekends run slower.

Publisher Monetization with OneTag and MasterSpot

We also monetize a couple of entertainment sites through TrafficStars. Two tools stand out for ad monetization.

OneTag

One script turns on four formats at once. Popunder, Interstitial, Video Slider and In-Page Push.

  • Each format becomes its own ad spot automatically
  • Pause or tweak any format without touching site code
  • Set frequency, triggers, delays and page filters per format
  • Pass SubIDs and content categories for better advertiser matching

MasterSpot

MasterSpot runs a live auction between banner sizes, Video Outstream and Native in one placement. Highest paying ad wins each impression.

News sites, blogs and video platforms suit it best.

Publishers also get Video VAST tags, TAB clicks, real time stats, Ad Delivery Protection against blockers and a claimed 100% fill rate.

Publisher Payout Methods and Fees

MethodMinimum PayoutFee
USDT (TRC20)$100 first payout, then $100.3% + $1.50

ACH or SEPA$100 or €100None listed
Bitcoin$500$30
International wire$1,000 or €1,000$35 or €30 on SWIFT

Publisher payouts run weekly (Monday to Sunday) or monthly. Invoices generate automatically once the minimum is reached.

Where TrafficStars Falls Short

No network is perfect. These issues cost us time or money.

  • CPA learning gets expensive on Tier 1, and adding a GEO resets it
  • Traffic type can't be changed after saving, so mistakes mean a new campaign
  • Optimizer reacts with a 20 to 30 minute lag
  • Category whitelists skip new tags quietly
  • Adult heavy inventory limits strict brand safe advertisers
  • $500 wire minimum and $1,000 publisher wire minimum feel steep
  • Gryzo occasionally misreads vague prompts, so preview every change
  • Some users online complain about blocked accounts after policy breaches, so read the guidelines first

For us, ExoClick wins on raw volume. Adsterra wins on mainstream ease. Clickadu wins on cheap Tier 3 pops.

TrafficStars wins on control and automation. It's the network where we spend the least time clicking.

Traffic Quality, Fraud Protection and Payment Safety

Traffic quality held up well across our campaigns. Bot spikes were rare, and the non proxy filter cleaned up most junk.

Built in fraud protection screens invalid traffic before billing. Certifications back that up.

  • TAG Certified Against Fraud
  • TAG Certified for Transparency
  • TAG Certified Against Malware on the publisher side
  • ISO 27001 for data security
  • ASACP approved member for child protection

Compliance monitoring runs around the clock. Public CSAM, DSA, DMCA and AI policies are all in place.

Gryzo only reads data inside your own account and works within account permissions. Personal data is never used for training.

On payment safety, deposits credited quickly for us and publisher invoices landed on schedule every billing cycle.

Media Buying Tips From Our Own Campaigns

  • Split campaigns by device and OS. Bid control gets much sharper.
  • Run CPM first, then move proven zones to CPA
  • Build a whitelist after 3 to 5 days of data, then clone onto PRIME
  • Use In-Page Push for iOS users, since classic push misses many of them
  • Ask Gryzo for a weekly “spend without conversions” report and act on it
  • Pass full payout in postbacks and use the Payout modifier to read true ROI

FAQs About TrafficStars

Is TrafficStars legit or a scam?

Legit. We've run traffic and received publisher payouts without issues. Most scam complaints online come from accounts blocked for breaking ad guidelines.

Can I run mainstream offers on TrafficStars, or only adult?

Mainstream works fine. Sweepstakes, VPNs, nutra, AI apps and iGaming all run here. Just remember most inventory sits on adult and entertainment sites.

Why did my TrafficStars CPA campaign stop on its own?

Usually one of two reasons. A zone fell below 30 impressions over 7 days, or its 7 day eCPM dropped under the minimum bid. Check postback setup too.

What is the cheapest way for a publisher to get paid?

USDT on TRC20. After a $100 first payout, the minimum drops to $10 with a 0.3% + $1.50 fee.

Does TrafficStars work with Voluum, Binom or Keitaro?

Yes. All three have ready-made postback templates. Just add {click_id} to your offer link.

Our TrafficStars Verdict

TrafficStars feels built for media buyers who love control. Few cpa ad networks pair this much granularity with an AI agent that actually ships changes.
