Direct linking

What does Direct linking mean?
Sending traffic straight from the ad to the advertiser's page with no landing page in between.
Direct linking is faster to test and avoids building landers, but it usually converts worse on cold traffic and gives you no control over the message. It works for warm, high-intent traffic (search) and for offers whose own pages convert well. Many networks and traffic sources forbid it for certain verticals.
